If a good bad drunken poem is to come about. it is important to be drunk enough. Remember its not inspiration, or that first shot-of-tequila high that we're after. Ideally, we want the temporary removal of inspiration - intellect's fuel, so that the self may imprint upon the bar napkins without any cerebral, mortal filter, influence, barrier -

A bar presents an atmosphere to heighten risk, to raise emotion. A bar presents happenings, obstacles, stimulus. A bar has all the drinks and ladies - no poem grows unfertilized by that.

As soon as a comedian tries to be funny she's not. after this paragraph, close  your eyes. Imagine they are locked tight as steel and cannot be opened. then after imagining that real hard. try to lift your eye lids. Your rational mind creates adversaries for your heroes, reluctance to your dreams. Sub-plots to your plots, mirrored prophecy. We often go more forward pulling - pushing creates that opposite reaction. We want honest, non-battle-scarred thought.

Drunkenness makes people more honest and expose more even if they don't know it. Good artists spend lifetimes developing the ability to communicate honestly and directly. Art is honesty. Everybody has something beautiful to express because the honest experience of an individuals thoughts, emotions and mind are beautiful.
